Winter begins . So the days will slowly get longer .

Potato bugs are terrible, and the birds don’t seem to like them.

PTSD Flashback - Picking potato bugs as a kid. We had a 40X80 garden exclusive for potatoes. We each carried our 3 lb coffee can half full of water to drown all the bugs. There were 6 of us picking the bugs we never got ahead of them. EEEK But it was always worth a bonus point if killed a striped hard back bug. And to Ralphies credit.....they were more prevalent on the sandy soil then the black dirt.

I can't wait for the days to get longer, when I arrive "upstairs" from work at 4:30 it is nearly dark and quite depressing.

I know how you ever going to get out on that to fish?

I read the Cook and Ely areas have 8-10 inches of ice. After Christmas we should be driving everywhere.

I am still taking my ATV when I go north, but it might not be needed.
