Surviving Minnesota!

Dusting of snow overnight and 10+ degrees below normal high for the last several days. I sure am glad for the global warming, as I hate to think what conditions would be without it!
Ralphie, with these conditions the maple sap collection must be ongoing?

I think it is flowing, but with the budding the sap is worthless.

The birch are running hard right now.

Welcome to the thread Southie,

However, you should know you are answering posts that are 6 years old.

What kind of chickens are you looking to get?
We got Sapphire Olive Eggers, Olive Eggers, Welsummers, Columbian Wyandots, and Easter Eggers 😂. We believe we have 8 hens out of the 15 😳. Sadly, no roosters allowed in our small town limits.

Morning . Rain off and on here . Put squash and cucumber seeds to germinate . Have to do it indoors as something eats my seeds in the garden . Ralphie have you been fishing ?

I haven’t been fishing. I have so busy trying to keep up on the spring chores. And the snow is kind of a put off to fishing.

My monkey ass are not out of the ground yet. I have Ailsa Craig onions about an inch tall though.

Peppers are not up either. The way this year is going my timing is correct, it will be June first before I can get in the garden. I normally plant in mid May but then I fight frost. I want to avoid the frost this year.
