If this heat continues and the smoke from Canada gets any worse it won’t make a difference whether I have birds or not. This is tough on my lungs.

I was going to ask how bad the smoke is . DW may have a tough time up north next trip . No air quality alerts here but there is a light haze from smoke .

It is a somewhat unique experience to have what looks like heavy cloud cover every day and not get any rain. It has likely resulted in slightly lower temperatures?
I believe Ralphie is done with birds and on to other adventures ?

I will get birds again. However, the WW is dictating that I have to go with her on an extended trip.

I hope it is just one. I will not have as many as I once had. But I do want turkeys and chickens.

I miss the turkeys. The WW says they tie us down. I don’t mind not going anywhere and being stuck here. She feels otherwise is my hunch.

The smoke from Canada was horrendous yesterday. Caused soar throat and burning eyes. Never saw it so bad here. Not very hot but the humidity was so high, like pea soup.

The smoke and the damage from the Benzene spill 30 years ago, almost killed me yesterday.

Today has been so much better than yesterday, looks kind of foggy but not the stink like burning garbage. Cooler and not as humid.

Morning . After I got home from the lake I got bug bites here . Chiggers . Most of you may not know about them . We never used to have them this far north . I applied lawn insecticide . Helped but the rains washed it away I think . Need to do it again . They like wet weather and long grass and weeds . So June was wet and grass needed mowing when I got back . July has been wet .

I got them on my first and last time to Jamaica.

We figure we got them on tbe beach. They borrowed into the back of my legs up to the swimsuit edge then proceeded to make freeway tunnels. They are terrible. I feel for you Jerry. Dog flea and tick shampoo helped. A little
