I suspect one of my ducklings has an issue w/ bumblefoot. I wanted to get an opinion to confirm/deny my thought. The pic below is before cleaning it up. After cleaning/treating it looks less icky.

Thx for the link. I saw that before during random browsing. I just wanted to be super sure before having to get terribly invasive.

Can anyone else offer an opinion on this being possible bumblefoot? I've been treating twice a day with warm water bath, wash the foot w/ soap, then sanitize w/ a little peroxide. I'm going to stop and get some vetwrap hopefully tomorrow to keep it clean.

Is it limping? If you decide to wrao it make sure you use lots of padding under the vetwrap.

This is how I wrap:

This peacock had these sores on both his feet:

I cleaned them with Chlorhexidine, applied neosporin and a no stick pad, then wrapped the pad on with lots of gauze for padding and then lightly wrapped the gauze with vet-wrap like this:

If I had to do it again I would not use the beige tape at the top of the bandage.

No limping, just something I noticed during a routine inspection of the duckie feet. I thought it looked pretty ugly so I started treating just to be safe. I just definitely want to avoid any cutting until i'm totally sure.

As much as I like to cut into things and "mess" with them, cutting into them if they aren't limping is something I wouldn't do.
