I hope to meet you also, I do not think there is a BYC section, but I will be running the Marans egg show, everyone is welcome to meet there

I get lots of comments on the name Turtlefeathers! It seems to cover my interests - in addition to my chickens and parrots, I keep several species of tortoises...

I suppose I should have used the word "booth" instead of "section", but I'll certainly stop by the Marans egg show and say hello to you and anyone else that happens to be there!

BTW, while I'm at the show, I'd LOVE to find a couple of silkie hens/pullets if anyone might have any for sale? They don't have to be show quality, but they DO have to be female! I'm not picky about color either, as my small flock is mixed. I only have 8 silkies, 1 of which I *knew* was a roo, but 3 of my "pullets" started to crow in the last couple weeks...

Hey Tracey, where were you?? I got there right at 9:00am and stuck around until maybe 10? And could find you nowhere. I did get to talk to April. She had some birds for sale. The bad news is, I didn't find my stolen hen. The perp was too smart to take her there. But I have the security people looking very closely at the tape from Saturday evening. Maybe I can still get her back?

I was there--I was running all over the place as I was showing 10 silkies and 3 out of 4 of my children were showing OEGB's and I was also helping with food behind the counter, so needless to say, I was everywhere!!! lol We arrived about 8 this morning and just got home about an hour ago...had to uncage everything and feed and water.

To all who I met, it was a BLAST meeting you all!!!!! I have to go get my camera so I can down-load our BYC Susquehanna pic!!!

Are you all as tired as I am?! I just put on my jammies and am already ready for bed!!! lol It was a fun day and great to meet you all!!!

We had such a great time... My son most of all. He went non-stop and slept the whole way home. He loved your girls, Tracey and they were so sweet with him

Well, I met a few of y'all.

cdeans, thank you so much for taking care of my Marans eggs and for facilitating my trio of Polish going off to their new home!

You sure kept busy today, huh?? And good to see you, chickenpea and chickygirl!

Sorry I didn't meet more BYC folks. I am a super introvert and awful in crowds/social situations.

I was planning on taking a few of my Polish to show, but just couldn't get them ready in time. I had to pick a high-maintenance breed.

There are just not enough hours in a day for me to have gotten those crests clean before this show! Hopefully I'll be able to make it to a few shows in the fall with some of this spring's hatch. And maybe I'll meet a few more BYCers at some of them!

i was/am more tired than i have ever been in my life and absoultely hated the drive, but once we got there, i had an awesome time!!! i also accidentally brought home a zillion chicks

not sure how that happened......speaking of which, one just died about 10 minutes ago.....I think it was weak from being out and about all day and not getting much to eat or drink and then got stepped on. I spent an hour with it trying to help it out and was hoping it would make it.....so sad i gave it some electrolytes for a boost....not sure if that helped or made it worse....but its not suffering anymore and thats all the matters....another maran....2 in 2 days
