I didn't even see that this thread was here! What a doofus! LOL

I'll definitely be there. I switched with someone so that I could get the day off. I started buying my chicken supplies a few days ago.

I'll be bringing a large dog crate and a guinea pig cage.

I'm hoping to bring home 6 or 8 hens.

I'm thinking Orpingtons, Leghorns, Barred Rocks, and Rhode Island Reds. I don't want chicks, but I don't want mature hens, either. I'm like Goldilocks ... I want them juuuuust right.

So, I'll be the one with the 7 year old boy, grey haired lady that looks like me

, a pink John Deere hat and a humongous black pickup truck.

We have done 3 or 4 so far and so like 2 years. Maybe we left earlier the first time?

At this the people are rarely by their cages and do what I did to leave a cell number on the cage. I would think you would sell better by your cage as I waited for people sometimes and just never got their birds. This has been very laid back, a show area you can walk through and see the birds, a few vendors, a tricky tray area, and in the other building some food for sale, usually a group doing a bake sale and the birds for sale in the other building. So only two buildings used. When we have gone the only time it seems crowded is for the tricky tray. Oh and they usually have some contest/game for the kids.

I plan on being there at least by 8. I don't want to miss any chickens!

My husband suggested that we all wear "BYC" somethings so we know each other.

If anyone has pullets to sell that are just about laying age, save some for me! I want some Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, Leghorns .... and I dunno what else. I've got my fingers crossed that everything will be ready for chickens when I get home on Saturday, providing I get some chickens!

See you on Saturday!

Sandra

I'm not sure what time I'll be there, but probably early. I'll most likely be wearing one of my farm shirts. It will say "Pure Country Acres" on the back.

I will write BYC on my forehead with Blue marker
