Svart Hona Rooster over Crested Cream Legbar

Starting an egg color project with a few of my ccl hens and my extra Svart Hona Rooster. It’s my understanding that the auto sexing trait in the ccl actually is passed down by the hen. I hatched out my first two “Crested Svarts” and it appears they may have the male sex indicator patch. I’ll have to grow them out to be sure but it looks like I have a hen and a Roo. I’m going for a pretty black chicken, that I can sex at hatch 1st gen and lays a colored egg.

They aren't autosexing, but they are black sex links. Those with head spots are males and will be barred. Those without head spots are females and will not be barred.

That’s what I was hoping for. Definitely not trying to create an auto sexing Svart but I want the offspring to be able to be sexed just like a sex link. Thanks !
