Swaps, Auctions, Trades, or Shows in Iowa?

I'm blonde, wear glasses and usually wear a ball cap with a pony tail out the back. My husband has really short hair, auburn color with a handle bar moustache. Larry the Rodent Guy is a tall man with long blondish hair that usually is in a ponytail.

Anybody know how much per bird it will cost to have them tested at Burlington? I have been thinking of bringing some birds to sale but they will need tested. I had birds tested that sold at Kalona and it was 25 cents a bird. Just wondering? Thanks so much!

Thanks. I am hoping to sale some month old chicks at least. Not sure what else I will bring. I need to start looking through the boxes in our storage room and find some items to sale to make it worth it and clean out space at the same time

I'm contemplating what to bring to the swap too. Farmgirlie if you bring chicks 12 weeks and under they do not need to be tested. I found this out after paying $8.00 for my ducks to be tested and then he told me. Ugh. Oh well. The last couple of times we went my birds were not tested. They directed us to parking right away.

I'm thinking of bringing hatching eggs. I will have welsummers, easter eggers and cuckoo marans(maybe). Then we just might look and not bring anything. Last time things were not selling. A lot of people were there but no one was buying. My husband even walked around and other sellers were having the same problem. I have my fingers crossed it will be better.

Thanks for the info. My chicks would not need tested then. But if I bring some older birds they would need tested. I would love a mix of all 3 breeds for hatching eggs. Could you do that (A few of each breed) and how much would they be? Thanks.
