I have two Swedish Blue ducks. They're both around 6-7 weeks old now. Is there anyway to tell if they're male or female?? Thanks in advance!

Just by their built I would guess you have one of each. I think it has something to do with when they start quacking. @chickens really.
I've heard that too, one is definitely louder than the other but I'm not sure what to listen for to tell which is a drake and which is a hen. lol

A drake will have a soft raspy voice, almost as if it has a case of laryngitis, not a true quak. female is a much louder quak and is more vocal. when they get older the drake will have a couple curled up tail feather that will point curl up and slightly forward.

Now that they are 16 weeks old, I believe that I have a male and a female. The male (left) seems to be getting a lot more color on his head and the female (right) has a more colorful body. Sorry the photo is low quality so you can't really see their colors, but they're gorgeous! Lots of blues and greens in the feathers. And he has a raspy quack whereas she has a very loud quack.
