Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I just found a Facebook page (group) for Swedish Flower Hens.. They said Meyer Hatchery doesn't have true Swedish Flower Hens :/ so maybe that's my problem... Or this lil girl is actually the cream legbar

Ok, thank you Ashdoes! I was thinking so too.. the one my friend was thinking the cream legbar, she's much lighter.. I will post a picture tomorrow, when she sends me one.

This is not the chicken in question.. These photos best resemble the color (of what my friend was thinking is her cream legbar)

Again none of these are our chicks.. . These are photo's I found on the internet that kind of resemble the chick me and my friend thinking may be her cream legbar. But I'm thinking I may have the cream legbar (shown in previous posts), and the lighter brown chick might be the Swedish flowe r hen (she will send me a picture tomorrow, and I'll post)

I am wondering if anyone has Swedish Flower Hens for sale? Since I've learned the SFH sold at Myers hatchery aren't true SFH.. I'd love to have some real ones :-D

Yeah, those light ones are not Cream Legbars. I hatched hundreds of them last year, and never had one look like that. Yours has the triangle at the top of her head, stripes on her back, and that super dark eye liner. She'll be very pretty, I always like the ones that started out dark like that on her back. Plus, you'll have blue eggs
I looked at the Swedish on Meyers website...wow. Those look nothing like what I've seen, and that poor Roo had the worst comb, in my opinion, I'd never want my Roos to have that. If that's what all the Roos for this breed looked like, we wouldn't have gotten them. They'd have a hard time free ranging. I found it quite easy to find eggs, once I looked for them.
