HI everyone!! Lovely Swedes! Wanted to share a couple of pics of my babies. They hatched 1/21 and I have 6 more in the incubator now. I love their quirky personalities and "skills". They outrun the geese all the time. I got lucky and have 2 hens and 2 roos. There are some lavender orps in the pics too....

Anyone else from Alabama with these guys?

I KNOW, CRAZY RIGHT!!! But geez I'm due some good luck there

I still have 2 cocky part bantam cochin and part lakenvelder roos that need rehoming. One got so mean, I rehomed him outside the fence for 2 weeks till he learned he had some wings and flew back in. His time out seemed to help his attitude some! And he was such a cuddly baby. Guess i had it comin...

Hi Guys, I'm near Atlanta. My SFH are young, (8 weeks) but I would be interested in an egg swap later as well if anyone is interested. I have 7. 4 roosters and 3 pullets. 1 crested rooster.
They are beautiful, but so far all are pretty light. I would love to get some with genes for the darker colors.

Aren't all the SFH's in the US from Greenfire? How can we tell what lines the 2nd or 3rd generation eggs/birds we have are from ?

Yes, I would imagine they are all Greenfire. However they did import 3 different lines and breeding 2nd or 3rd cousins would have to be better than fathers to daughters, right?? Just guessing here, please be honest and set me straight if WE need to save postage....
