Can you come over and have a talk with Little Sweetie (my hen)? She isn't laying yet, but getting close. Little Sweetie came up on the deck yesterday and climbed up on the windowsill (the window was open but curtain was closed.) My 3 year old daughter moved the curtain to look out the window and there sat a chicken!

You should have heard her scream! I thought she got hurt.

Little Sweetie jumped and flew away. This isn't the first time she has wanted into the house. I think she might think she is a dog?? Not sure why she wants in but I might just let her in today and see what happens. Who knows maybe she will lay me an egg then.

i got some of these off an amish last yr for $1 each i thought they where just mutts lol but they did say they came from a hatchery pack

The first young Flower Hens were imported to the US in June 2010.
It's unlikely that your 1$birds from last year are Swedish Flowers.

I've just barely seen this thread, but am I right to infer from the pictures that "Swedish Flower Hens" are not actually a breed, but a landrace fowl?

Hello, its me again! The babies are almost three weeks old. I think there are 2-3 are crested.
My Sweetie started laying eggs last week.
