When I was out in their coop today, I did notice that the combs on the first and the fourth are a little pinker and larger than the other three, though not nearly as marked a difference as my Barred Rock and Black Copper Marans of the same age. I know Swedish Flower Hens are curious but this made me giggle when I found the accidental picture.
The little guy is 13 weeks.

One of these two black and white chicks is him (no chestnut coloring on the head). The other is a mostly black pullet. Can't see their faces so I don't know for sure. All six of the boys had really big combs when they got here at 10 days. The second picture is what he looked like Sunday in a more dignified pose. I think he is going to be really gorgeous. Can't wait to see what his kids look like next year!

Oh, thank you! I have two chicks like that in my latest batch and I was sooo hoping to end up with some black SFHs.
