Hello there! I am a new chicken and SFH owner- I brought home 3 SFH (along with 7 BLRW) tonight. They are about 4 days old (which might be accurate or not- don't know). I got one that looks like penguin with the yellow and dark brown/black, one "splash" and one darker red/brown. Pictures tomorrow but I was so excited to post this :)

Take care

Welcome! I'm sure you will love this breed. I've had chickens for most of my life, and have had many different breeds, but these SFH's are my favorite. I don't think that they lay quite as well as my EE's, but they are pretty close. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome! Within an hour of being "ours" DH and I can tell the three we have possess a lot of personality. Can't wait to see how they mature (and if we have pullets or roos) :)

Here are the pictures of my SFH. I think the "grey and yellow" is a roo

See the comb already? Its not red but its apparent and its about 5 days old. This chick is also pretty dominant and pushy but curious too.
What does everyone else think?

Here is the Partridge feathered one

and here is the black and yellow chick

It has a comb too but its a little smaller than they grey and yellow.
