I would continue to pay attention but give them a couple more days. By paying attention you will be able to discern whether to intervene or not. Hopefiully not, but I have saved a number of chicks who were not going to be able to get out. I have also lost a number of chicks by not intervening sooner.
I am putting another 12 shipped SFH eggs on lock down tonight and have a question or two. I was thinking of setting these upright because of space issues. Can I just unplug the auto turners? Also what % humidity is do you all recommend for for lock down? I have used dry incubation through out.
I actually had one hatch on day 24! figured he'd be a gonner, but he's one of the biggest boys I have right now, tho he's also the youngest of the free range boys. (he's a birta/mace baby)6 have hatched, 1 is zipping, 1 more has pipped. 7 eggs nothing yet.
Question.....today is day 21, how long should I wait on the remaining eggs?
