Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I will take better pictures of them but needed help with Mr. Crooked toes as he will be called. At least until I decide what to do with him. He walks fine and seems to hold his own among the others.

Rancher Hicks, from what I have seen I would not exclude the possibility of Mr. crooked toes actually being a Swede after all.

My SFH have gotten a little older and are outside now...they love it..here are 2 pictures I took this morning...they are having a blast.

Well I received an e-mail from the seller which I think was nice. Mr. Crooked toes is in fact a Montgomery Blue Traveler. I've never heard of them til now.

Perhaps you missed my earlier post? I'm not upset since I now have an answer. These things happen. It's not the worst thing that has happened to me. That would be my ex wife.

Just kidding.

He's got nice color but not a swede. The comb gives him away. He'd probably father some nice colored EE's.

KYTinPusher -Thanks for your input. I thought I only had one crested chick #6, that fluffier than the others head was like that from the time they arrived. I looked more closely at #3,4&8 and think I see little feathers forming that stand differently than the other head feathers. It's really interesting watching them grow and discovering what colors/markings they'll end up having.

beautiful... I am wondering how they do in snowy winters.. they are supposed to be good but most of the folks showing them are warmer climes? also I am interested in broody behavior and egg laying?

My chicks today.

Lafayette.

Either Sookie or Pam, they look exactly alike. She was sleeping.
