No sorry for the confusion. That's my SSH cockerel surviving a gust of wind.

And...do you feel "special" because you got one of the one in 10K?![]()
ETA... I'll probably never know another person that gets one!I'm thinking a lottery ticket is in order for you.![]()
Think again!I think I have a Bresse with the same problem. It is almost 16 weeks old and I am still not positive if it is a pullet or a cockerel. Its comb and wattles size are in between the cockerel and the pullets that it hatched with, redder than the pullets, but not as red as the cockerels. I am thinking I will get a capon without the surgery on this one.![]()

Incredible! Maybe you should BOTH get a lottery ticket!!!!![]()
Coloring does suggest cockerel, but at 14 weeks, his comb and wattles should be much larger. Check underneath the saddle feathers to see if the pointy feathers are coming in.
Oh my son and I were just admiring my Roos tail in the wind simply gorgeous! I think I'm going to just have to do a little experiment when my bator is free have 8 sf developing now!![]()

Yes they are! I got lucky just got done checking again all 8 are growing out of 8 I couldn't be happier I had only 1 hatch out from shipped eggs 3 months ago and she needed assistance so I'm really hoping this will make up for my failed attempt before! I got EXTREMELY lucky and was given these eggs from the lady who basically gave me a couple Swedish flower Rooswhat kind of eggs do you have in the bator? Are they SFH?? We love hearing about new babies... Good Luck!

I felt special because Italy was such a sweetheart. It would run over as fast as it could and jump into my arms as soon as it saw me come outside... every time! It stayed with me while I recovered from surgery. It was a very special bird.And...do you feel "special" because you got one of the one in 10K?![]()
