Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I felt special because Italy was such a sweetheart. It would run over as fast as it could and jump into my arms as soon as it saw me come outside... every time! It stayed with me while I recovered from surgery. It was a very special bird. LOL! If you have any blue-based girls, 50% of their offspring will be blue. If you have a homozygous blue girl, 100% will be blue.:D
I am hoping to get one out of the eggs that are in the Bator now. I have one pullet that is your classic Mille coloration she isn't laying age yet which is why I'm considering hatching out some mixes from my two boys until next spring I can hatch out the real thing!

@Galtice

What kind of an incubator are you using?

(I've never used an incubator so I'm taking note of these things and how folks like them....much prefer a broody and hope for some this spring but....)

Nothing fancy at all just a little giant from tractor supply. It was a disaster my first try I thought I could order some cream leg bar and Swedish flower hen eggs off eBay lol but after a couple attempts with my own eggs and NOT adding water it works great for what I need it for

Does anyone have a picture of an adult blue based rooster they can put up. One of my 9 week old cockerels is blue based, and I love the way he is starting to grow out. Still very young, but very pretty.

Here's one
