Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Is there any one on this page that can help me out...This is my senior year in high school and 4H...I just saw this bird and am new o this page...I I saw pictures of these birds and saw how rare they are and fell in love with this breed....I am in need of 6 chicks with at least 4 hens and 2 roosters for show and a project that I have to show the younger kids in our club....I would even take hatching eggs to be able to study the whole process....I don't have alot of money but would really like to do these birds as my final 4H project, I think it would be really exciting to have such a rare and beautiful bird...I just want you to know if someone can help me out by selling these to me at a lower price I would be greatful and would keep you posted during my projects entirity...I also would not sell hatching eggs I would give them to people to hatch or I would hatch them and give them away to give this amazing breed help....Please help me!! pm me. Thank you in advanced..I know there is someone out there that can help me out....
Below is a picture of me at the fair last year my my first market steer project, just to show that I really am in 4H

Here is 2 rooster I have also

I have 1 laying hen and four 21 weeks old pullets(3 are getting pretty close to laying!). I'll probably be willing to send you some test eggs pretty cheap when the girls start laying. I usually dont hatch eggs from new layers though, so it might not be until mid january.

Boo lives with my 5 EE pullets. She's the most curious chicken on the planet! So nosey and LOVES treats.

Some of my SFH chicks!

Do all chicks go through this funny looking stage?

ROFL hubby glanced at this pic, and thought you had some of my "Calico's babies" aka mille fleur project bantam cochins.

i have a bunch outside now, but these 2 were still in the brooder so got caught for a minute. LOL
these 2 are a bit younger than yours tho i think. they hatched Nov 12.

Wow, except for the feathered feet they look just alike!! If you decide to sell eggs let me know!

LOL - I have 2 of ki4got's bantam cochins too. Love them to pieces!! This is one of ki4got's babies who lives on our farm now (and is adored by my 9-year-old):

She's still really young and this picture doesn't do her justice. She is a beautiful and sweet bird!

Yes I believe most do go through an awkward stage like that. Mine looked very much like yours and now are getting more distinct white, red, and gray or black spots. These birds DO go through many color changes as they grow, it seems.
