Since a while bunch of us have new babies, do any of you give vitamins to your chicks?

I was reading way, way back in this thread, and there was some discussion about whether or not vitamins help this breed. Current thinking?

I do give mine 1 dose a week as newly and then I have not given them any but I like the Sav A Chick electrolytes it seems to give them a good boost!

Thought I would share a picture of a roo I hatched. Has anyone see this color combo before? He kinda looks like three colors in one. I am thinking about using him as a breeder, but since he is only 4 months old I have a couple of months to decide.

I haven't seen that color combinationm yet but I sure like it! Breed him!

I am working on setting up my breeding pens for 2013. Pen 1 will be my non crested roo with 6 crested pullets. The pullets are
now about 23 weeks, and the roos are about 17 weeks. Pullets in pen 1 are all from Jordon Farms stock, and the roo is from kimberly35042. Here are photos of the group in Pen 1. I will work on getting pics of the planned Pen 2 group, which will be a crested roo over 10 non crested pullets.

I will be selling eggs, probably by reservation only. I'm not sure I want to run the auction thing. They will be $30.00 per dozen + actual shipping costs. I don't plan on shipping chicks, but will hatch and sell for local pick up.

Well I have 5 Swedish Chicks that hatched! 4 white ones with hints of gray and a dark smoky gray one!! Ill post pictures once they all dry off!

I hatched 4 yesterday and this morning and they're looking great and have found the food and water and are almost ready to be transferred to the larger brooder with some other chicks. One will probably be a splash, two are more of the blond/blue type and the fourth is an interesting color brown, a bit different than I'm used to seeing. One has a very obvious crest already and the others I'm not sure just yet. Really hoping for a few pullets.
