Okay...she REALLY IS laying. Caught her yesterday. First eggs came 2 days short of 18 weeks. Today she turns 19 weeks. Have had about 5 of them in including 1 today. Not sure if they're all hers - but at least I saw her yesterday!

And...I watched her for awhile. She was doing the classic "picking up pieces of grass and putting them on her back" thing. I thought...oh my...will she go broody early? Not acting broody at all, however, except for picking up the grass like that.





The eggs you see there were already in the nest.

Your boy is doing fine. I love his colors. He has adapted well with my three SFH pullets. BTW, did you have the hatch date for him? Thanks!

He hatched on February 27. He's looking good!

Been checking, and the last 2 eggs from the pullet are FERTILE! (I think the one before that was too but couldn't see it as clearly so didn't want to speculate until I had a good clear view of one.)
