Swedish Flower Hen Thread

Bulldogma,

Got home late tonight after Kenny Chesney concert and checked the four SFH eggs. Keeping finger crossed, but I got peeps in the shell on Elinor's egg and both of Ginger's eggs. Nothing yet from Astrid's egg. Hoping tomorrow will fulfill this promising development! :)

Any thoughts? I'm not sure how old it is. I'm guessing around 10-12 weeks?

Hi everyone! I started on SFH this spring and mine are nine weeks now. I've got three I know are cockerels and one pullet but I am not sure about this one. I want to say cockerel but if a he he's no where near as big or as red as my other cockerels in the comb area. I'd like he to be a she as I only have five from this group (and two more that hatched yesterday but who knows about them...).

Elinor's egg hatched naturally. I had to intervene and help the two chicks out of the shell of Ginger's eggs. All three are dark chicks and doing fine! It does not look like Astrid's egg will hatch but I am happy to get three Gunnar descendants. I will post pictures later. :)

One of my adults, recently became the dominant roo. I think that will probably change in a few days when I let all the coops out together for the summer.
