Swedish Flower Hen Thread

TurnipTruck,

In addition to what Bulldogma is offering and you are looking for some diversity, I have white-based, white/red cockerel that is uncrested available.  He was hatched in mid-September.  I live in the very northern part of Virginia where MD-VA-WV come together.  I will try to get a picture posted tomorrow.  Having a backup cockerel is always a good idea.    

I actually don't live too far from Hapless, so if you, TurnipTruck, need a delivery, I could haul a boy from this area to Upper Marlboro to meet you again.

Birta was taken by a hawk today. She was one of my best quality breeding hens.



I am very thankful I still have her lovely sister, Marta.


Unfortunately this also means free ranging will be on hold for the rest of the flock until further notice. I'm pretty heartbroken over this loss.

I am sorry for your loss. I know you can't watch them all the time. Especially if you have a few. Makes me stay in the yard with them, more and more.
