SunnySkies... The chicken nuggets have advance to the chicken strip phase. Gus even sat still while Mo came up and pecked him square on the nose.

Everyone else, I was lucky enough to end up with the New Years Day hatch. Anyone want to take stabs at sexing and colorationizing


Based on my hatchers from last summer, I'd guess the tufted in the 2nd pic (and 4th?) with dark red would be a cockerel. Not sure about the 3 rd pic. The red comb has me guessing cockerel, but at 2.5 months the size would have me guessing pullet. It depends on what their growth rate has been over winter. Look for wattles showing on it sometime soon. Then, it becomes very obvious very quickly.

Thanks to this thread (I've been lurking), and to TXFlowers, I now have an incubator full of 39 Swedish Flower eggs (and 4 goose eggs). I just want you all to know that you are a bunch of enablers. ;)

But I am SO thrilled!!!

Have you used the Reptipro incubator for hatches before? I was looking at getting one and was wondering how it has worked for you?
