I'd like to introduce Magnus. When he is old enough to breed, he'll be paired with Snoleopard and perhaps we can make this wonderful coloration a little less uncommon. (He's still in that awkward teenage phase... and as sweet as can be!) Just another month or so, folks! And his Bride-to-Be, Snöleopard:
I have 1 that looks like your snoelepard!!!! Not avery good pic, but she is very independent always out on her own.

Where did these 2 come from?

Truly beautiful. It will be interesting to see what the chicks look like!

I've had Snöleopard from the time she hatched, and Magnus came from someone who wanted to see this coloration continue. Ki4got (our genetics guru) says the resulting chicks from this pairing could be 100% snöleopard coloration. We'll know for sure soon enough!

They should all be snöleopard - but I'll bet we'll see all kinds of variation in the color with this amazing breed!

So the sno was one of your own eggs?

We're not positive... After I lost Gunnar, Wildhorseannie sent eggs that were her bloodlines mixed with my Gunnar bloodlines. We are fairly certain that my Elinor is a carrier of this red-muting gene, so it could have been an Elinor x Gunnar chick that Marcia hatched, then crossed with her Bazinga lines. Elinor is a splash and all of her chicks are blue-based, but if one of those blue-based mille fleurs carried the gene and was crossed with a black based mille fleur (like Bazinga) then that would likely be where Snöleopard came from.

And yes - I will probably put Elinor in with Magnus also! Their kids will be blue-based, but will have the snöleopard gene.
