Hi Swedish Flower hen owners! I am researching this breed because just recently I have decided to venture into a new breed. Does anyone on here have eggs for sale? Would like quality birds but they will only be my backyard pets. I breed cochins but, just wanted these for a few pretty pets. Thanks!

I'm in Wytheville, VA and Ki4got is in Roanoke, VA. We both usually have some nice birds available.

just a heads up, I DO have 4 pullets and 5 cockerels available right now, all hatched out early to mid may, if you're up for a road trip or are interested in shipping them.

At what age to SFH usually start to lay.  I have a pullet from a New Years Day hatch that I am thinking should start laying soon, 7 months of waiting for eggs is driving me nuts.

Finally got an egg from my pullet that was giving me fits!

From my spring hatches, the two pullets I want to keep are the blue one with the mottled legs I posted earlier as well as this splash pullet:


She's large, calm, and has nice wings and comb.

Beatrice is hatching her 2nd batch of SFH, 10 eggs.
Hatch day is tomorrow. Heard chirping from the eggs this am!!!!!

LisaLouHoo, how old is your splash pullet? I have one that looks exactly like yours. It was hatched in early February, and I've been trying to figure out it he/she is a pullet or cockerel.
