Will you keep your double crest kiddo? If so, I'd like to hear "personality" updates to see if it acts like my 2 grays. They were unlike any personality in any bird I've every seen..and it wasn't good. That behavior didn't start until they around 16 - 18 weeks old.
A few rainy day pictures taken with my not-so-great camera phone...
Isbar chicks (posting this for Melabella
)
These chicks are adorable! Now as you said.. Let's hope for a male in each color! Good Luck with them, and can't wait to watch them grow out!
Marta and her brood of 7
These chicks seem to be all the same color.. is that true, and did you plan it that way?
Oooops! Didn't mean for that to happen!
Poor lil thing! lol... cutie though. What are the complications with the vaulted skull? (sorry for all the newbie dummy questions)
Some of the older babies I'm growing out. The one on the left is my young snoleopard pullet. She's by far the most outgoing and not afraid of the older kids!
Ok, so you have described my little light one to the tee. Very bossy, keeps up with the black chick, and does the challenge even though Mr. Black is almost double in size.
The only way I could get the little sno to sit still!
This almost looks exactly like my chick. Very interesting to see and watch. How old is the little snit??
Now I am getting my hopes up because my chick looks exactly like that! This being said,, I love them all so no matter what color "it" is! Thanks for the pictures Leigh! xo
All 3 SO pretty! I have three also, but they are only 4 weeks. I have two that look just like yours. A black based mille like yours, and my black chick looks like that as well. This is exciting to see what they will look like in 6 more weeks!

Mela -
I hatched eggs from just 4 of my girls - Ana (crested), Marta (the broody), Ginger (Mace's mom) and Snoleopard. Doesn't look like any of the chicks will be a snoleopard - probably just a mille fleur. Ana is the crested one and I hadn't thought that my older boy was allowing the younger crested boy to breed... but apparently... (Ana was moved to a different coop a few weeks ago). Many vaulted chicks simply can't hatch and if they do, their crests can be so large as adults that it impairs their vision and ability to free range. If I keep her I'll just give her hair cuts as needed.
