How are the rest coming?  And...what part of the country are you in?  Just wondering how your weather is for these new little ones during winter...

Hi LM,

I have three new little ones and three eggs remaining with pips. I'm starting to worry a bit as I don't hear any more chirping or movement near the pips. I'm hoping they are just resting up for the breakout. I live in upstate NY, 90 miles north of NYC. The chicks I've been hatching I keep in my dining room for 2 weeks them as it's getting chilly, I will move them out to the heated tack room in the barn for a few more weeks then to the grow out stall with their Brinsea EcoGlow. This is my last hatch for this year....... I think. LoL

This is an issue for me, too, since we have below freezing for a few months in winter. I probably shouldn´t have put any eggs in the bator, but I don´t have a very good Boy-Girl-Ratio yet. I limited myself to just 10, and probably not all of them will hatch. Since I don´t have heating in the coop, though, I´ll probably have to end up keeping them inside most of the winter. What do the rest of you do that hatch chicks at this time of year? Until I got SFH I limited myself to spring and early summer for hatching, but of course with these guys it was hard to contain myself...
