they are so cute with the hen there would love to see pictures of how they progress in colorations. I see silvers, yellow, and the black/yellow chicks.

Thank you for the link to the mini chickenstock, I will have to do some research and see just how far it is from me to come, but yes, I would love to bring some of these black based hens to sell if indeed it's not too far of a hike! Thank you for the interest, and the compliments along with the link to the information! I hope we continue to have this mild winter stuff, but I do know it's coming eventually. I am just happy it looks like we might get through December!

I just love seeing all the variety of the SFHs, and would love to expand my flock's gene pool. It seems like most of mine end looking like this with just some variation.
( not the blue one, that's a Catskill Homesteader)

Non-crested ones too, but basically red/brown base color.

Yes this weather has been great & so different from last year! It'd be great if you could come to the mini chickenstock.

SFH's are the BEST! These guys are so friendly and tame they think they should be in the house. They ARE part of the family. There is an Isbar with them who is a wannabe SFH.

I am wondering if those of you with SFHs can help me out. I will be getting my first batch of SFH this spring and I am wondering if anyone can tell me, or direct me to a good website, that shows what color chick down results in which color SFHs as adults. Pictures would be great, but verbal explanations are fine too. I have been searching for this information and have yet to find it. Thanks in advance!
