Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I received 10 eggs from Duemig10 and so far looks like 6-7 are developing. They're due to hatch on the 20th.

Splash males will look similar, but in most cases are more heavily marked with blue splashes of color, their hackle and back and saddle feathers are usually also a darker slate color.

With Swedish Flower males though, I would expect them to be even more colorful, I've never seen a picture of a male that doesn't have some sort of red or gold in his plumage.

You guys are the experts on this breed so tell me what you think. We found this rooster in the park. Someone had dumped him and his girlfriend

unfortunately, she disappeared. Luckily, with much effort, we were able to catch him

I don't think that's a SFH but I'm sure no expert. He doesn't look like any of mine or any picture I've ever seen of a SFH. Mine all have kind of pea green eyes and this one's look orange. Mine all have yellow legs and the one toe I can see on your boy looks dark. Hopefully, you will get some more opinions here.

When i let my SFH's out i told them "you better start laying today" i guess our talk worked because i got my first SFH egg today. Tomorrow i need to build a nesting box or two. Very excited.
