I don't have mature hens, but they are advertised as being as being better layers than orpingtons, if that helps.

No mature hens here either. I have a couple that are 5 1/2 months and starting to color up. The others are only 4 1/2 months.
I was also curious if they tend to go broody. Seems like they would. Anybody know?
