Anyone got any cold hard facts in regards to SFH laying? I'm very interested in this breed but only if they are superb layers, preferably year-round to some extent.

I just ordered 7 SFH chicks from Our Fly Babies! I'm so excited to get them in! I wish they would be here today!

I just ordered 7 SFH chicks from Our Fly Babies! I'm so excited to get them in! I wish they would be here today!

I was on a waiting list with them for over 4 months to get chicks this spring. They are only and hour or so from me. Never did get any, was always one problem or another. Ended up getting hatching eggs on ebay instead. Good luck, hope they make it to you safe and sound!

Oh, is that all? That is very disappointing as I love the look of this breed and Greenfire's description of their personality, but with eight people in the house sharing eggs and only eight hens allowed by local ordinance, I need top-notch layers ONLY, unfortunately. Too bad Exchequer seems to be the only heritage variety of Leghorn that is easy to come by around here. I have two and love them but want more variety.

well i canceled my order from our fly babies. apparently their SFH are molting and some are broody so he said he's not getting eggs from then right now. so i just canceled it.

Do you want to order some together and split shipping. I've been wanting to teplace mine that I got from greenfire. let me know. i think you are about 3 hours from me. i wouldn't mind deriving.

I have some pics of my older swedes. I think its a roo and 2 girls. Or 2 boys and girl. Didn't get any crested out of this group, but they are pretty and ridiculously friendly.
