My older SFH are really great foragers. The weather doesn't seem to deter them one bit.
Cannot wait til the young ones can come out too.

Cute, looks like they'll all be crested too. I haven't seen one feather out like the middle one. It's a lot of fun watching how these guys feather out. Thanks for sharing

yes, I am thinking 3or 4 of them will be crested (there is 6 in total), 1 of them hatched 2 days later than all the others and is not just crested but has a vaulted skull [i know most people don't like that, but I actually do)....will try to post some pictures of the others later, they are all totally different colors, 2 of them more grayish/blueish (hoping for blue! )

O.K. it has taken me awhile to get my young'uns to stand still in proper light long enough to snap some pictures. I kept trying to bribe them with mealworms, but my older chickens kept commandeering them.

Finally got my lost in shipment eggs today.
the box was beat in on the side, had yellow ooze all on it, when I opened it, it was rotten and had bugs in it. Smelled TERRIBLE! Nothing like 20 rotten smashed eggs to end the day!

I'm so sorry this has happened. Will the seller replace the eggs in light of what happened? Absolutely unbelievable! And what an awful loss

If they would have just put the eggs in the bag on the 12th and continued them to my house the ones that weren't broken would have at least had a chance, but sitting in rotten egg for 5 days, I didn't even want to chance it with the eggs in my bator. Bummer on the eggs. They sure look like they were packed in there tight though. Not saying that the USPS didn't have it's share in it, but I'd have put no more than 12-13 eggs in that box.
