Okay guys. Since we were on the subject of Frida.. I was having second thoughts on my crested. at about 17 weeks old. I thought it was surely a girl until now.. Pullet or late bloomer cockerel?

I say pullet. Her wattles are darkening up because she's getting close to laying. Very pretty.

Sorry, but my guess is you have 2 roos there. The crested roos are sneaky and develop slower than the non-crested. The wattles on my pullets were almost non-existent until they were reaching POL. How old are they? They are gorgeous, though!

Another question... are any of you breeding for specific traits, or not really because the SFH are a landrace??

Where are you? Where you live will depend on where you can get some. The actual breed name is Swedish Flower Hen (even if it's a rooster) and they are fantastic
