Adopted chick

So sweet

Yay! My silkie has hatched 2 chicks (out of three eggs) and adopted one. (I bought one and slipped it under her because it's been so cold that I was afraid none of eggs would hatch. She's been so dedicated, I just couldn't let her go chickless!) I love my little hen. She's such a good momma! It was so exciting, I just had to share!!!

That's cool. We always incubate our eggs so we haven't been able to enjoy that part of the whole chicken life. That picture makes me wanna give it a try

The momma integrates her chicks in to the coop so much better than I have ever had success so I'm a big believer!
