Hi All,
New to raising chicks. Just on Monday got 4 little ones. 2 Ameracaunas. 2 Black sex linked. One of the two ameracaunas is much smaller and more fragile than all the others (Sally). The place we got them from was not certain about exact ages. She is often laying down and sleeps but will get up and walk a few steps then lays back down. No sores on her legs or feet. No turning out of her feet at all. Seems a little off balance with the few steps she will take. She will eat and drink and is pooping fine as well. The other chicks even in the last three days have been showing regular instinctive chicken movements but Sally has not. No one is picking on her. They have regular chick starter, clean water and shavings in their little pen. Keeping it at 85-90 degrees. Any suggestions for poor sweet sally? Not sure if she is just a few days younger than the others and they may have been acting the same before we got them? have nothing to compare it to since they are all our first chicks!
