My lovely chickie's right side face is little swelling.
Not a lot but it's enough to notice.
She didn't come to me when I called her and she was already in the coop roosting even still light out.
So I guess she doesn't feel good...

I saw she was eating and drinking. No sneezing, wooing, bubbling or anything.
Just swelling.
I searched "swelling face" on BYC. She might have sinus infection???
She is inside house now and got ACV water.

What I can do for her???

I'm wondering if she could have gotten stung on the face??? That's the only thing I can think of... Hope she's okay

I called TSC and they have Tylan 50.
I don't want to loose her so I want to take a chance so going to use it.

I hope I'm doing right thing.... Anyone has anything to help me???

I have a hen with a swollen face. She came like it and the people I got her from sent over some anti-biotics as it seemed like she had a cold. She had no other symptoms though, just a lump on her cheek. I gave all the girls the anti-biotics but I will never know if they did any good. The lump is still there but a year on the hen seems perfectly healthy......

I would treat her for cold / infection just in case but it could just as likely be nothing to worry about

I had the same kind of problem about 3 weeks ago. I had a hen with a swollen wattle on one side. She was still tippy and falls some on her side but is full of energy and seems very normal. She is even still laying. I put them on vitiams (Roster booster) and a broad spectrum anitbiotic feed. She seemed to respond to all the meds but still has a bit of swelling but otherwise no other issues other then the falling over. Everything I read pointed to a ear/sinus infection. Check out the links to a flow chart I found and see if it helps...I hope so.....

I gave her Tylan 50 injection yesterday and she seems OK.
Her face is still swelling but no more watery eye.
She started eating good, too!

I hope that's good signs.

Chickenscott, thanks for the chart! And yes, sounds like sinus infection...
I will pick up chickie vitamins.
