I had a chance to pick the colors for a bathroom a lot of years ago. I was on a burnt orange kick at the time and I knew that glossy paint would be more waterproof in the bath. WHOA! Bad combination.

Our house growing up had the classic 70’s olive green appliances and bathroom tile and fixtures

I remember also the dark wood paneling with grooves everywhere, the olive green was called "Avocado Green" and the other popular appliance color was called "Harvest Gold".
Who had a bike with a banana seat, raised handle bars and streamers?

My parents also seemed to think avocado green was a great idea for the bathroom No streamers, but there were Choppers (no smut intended ) and Chippers (in the UK).
