Snow white has a problem again. She is not at distress yet but she has a changed voice and I am woried. I saw that her under beak is swollen, not hard to the touch. A second irrelevant problem is her foot. She is not in pain yet but I am worried about the swelling. We have many bees visiting her watering pot.could it be from a bee sting?

Her neck is ok for now. Please advice!

That foot looks like a really bad case of bumblefoot. Epsom salt bath Asap. I don't know why her beak is swelling 🤔 is she having trouble eating or drinking? Is there a cyst or lump under her tongue?

Thank you for the reply. She had bumblefoot in the past at both legs with pain but I treated that succesfuly. I have used dalacin antibiotic cream with suberb results in the past. Her leg is not in pain. I will treat before it gets serious ok.
I am more concerned for the beak. The upper part of the tongue wich i can inspect seems ok. We have bees. I hope it is only a sting. May i give her something like benadril or what?

Not sure about a cyst or lump difference as i am not a native english speaker but it is soft to the touch, cant tell if is a cyst with liquid but i guess not, and it is not hot. No trouble eating or eating. She has fun with baths and interacting with the other ducks normaly. May be a little sleepy but its her time to take a nap :)

Okay. I read that chickens can have baby aspirin, so I assume ducks can too (dissolve pills into water). The dose is (I think) 5mg per kilogram of body weight.
A cyst normally has liquid in it, a lump is solid and can be a tumor, benign growth, allergic reaction, or certain diseases. Is there any discoloration in the mouth? A foul smell?

No foul smell no discoloration so probably not an infection. She is young 3 years old so a tumor is unlikely. I think that it started some hours ago otherwise i would have probably noticed. So no infection not tumor. I think the most probable cause is a bee sting. I gave dimetindene maleate externaly (fenistil here in Greece). I just had hope if anybody could confirm as i have not seen a bee sting on a duck before!

I need to administer aspirin for what ? For pain?

Aspirin could help with pain and swelling, especially if it is a bee sting. It's hard to diagnose without seeing an actual wound (for a bee sting it would be a tiny red spot in the center of the swelling). Hopefully a sting is all it is. Hope your ducks feels better soon!

Here is the update. It was indeed a bee sting. It took 1day and a half to cure. Treating her leg with dalacin. I have the impression that i can pull the black spot off but I hesitate. It seems external and this explains why she does not hurt. It would probably self heal but i will do another application of dalacin after 12hours and I will see her again after a day and a half. Thank you for the replies!
