Silkie did not come out of the coop today. Checked on her to find swollen shut right eye. Quarantined her and watched her eat. Not drinking much. I don’t know what twisted neck is but that could be one symptom she may slightly be showing, but also could just be the swelling causing her to hold her head funny at times. The weather has been rainy and humid lately, maybe that causes sinus infections? Could be bacterial? Can I buy a broad antibiotic from tractor supply? Held a warm compress over that side of her face Incase it was something in it irritating it. And added probiotics and electrolytes to her water.

You're on the right track guessing this is a sinus infection. Here's what I use when one of my chickens comes down with this. https://www.kvsupply.com/item/prednisolone-acetate-ophthalmic-suspension/497024/ It will take the swelling down within hours.

I use these drops in conjunction with an ophthalmic antibiotic ointment, that you can find at TSC. KVSupply also has an eye drop with both steroid and antibiotic combined. https://www.kvsupply.com/item/neo-poly-dex-ophthalmic-suspension-5-ml/406366/

Tylan 50 injectable given orally might help if she has mycoplasma. Dosage is 1/4 ml twice a day by mouth, for 5 days. Get syringes and needles to pull it out of the vial. That can be done in conjunction with Terramycin eye ointment from the feed store. Remove any eye secretions before applying into the eye twice a day.Mycoplasma (MG) can come and go throughout her life, especially if she is stressed. Hopefully she will feel better soon.

She is definitely holding her neck funny today. Are there certain tale-tale signs that can distinguish MG from sinus or eye infection? This is day 2. If there are, how long do those symptoms take to show? There is no drainage from the nasal. Poop looks normal. Would an eye infection cause her to hold her neck down, like limp, with swollen eye tucked down and in towards her chest.

A combination of not being able to see well and the discomfort of the swollen tissue could account for her behavior.

I would treat for the sinus infection, and if that doesn't resolve in a day or two, then go with the Mycoplasma treatment. Just a suggestion.
