swollen eye - need some help!! Graphic Pic's

So very sorry to hear about your girls. I am going trough the same thing here are home. Woke up and my RIR had a swollen face and eye but only on one side. She was still on the roost. Not eating or drinking. I started her on Tylan 50 and forcing pedilite down her. She did eat some oatmeal. She also had diarrhea.

I hope all goes good with your baby.

I raised a mockingbird, who had something like that.
i took her to the vet, got her checked out, apparently it turned out to be a nasty sinus infection showing itself in her eye. but through all the medication, she didn't make it. i was devistated.
that might be it, i dunno though.

My mum used to put some eye drops when my roo had a swollen eye. Sometimes its a mild swell but they scratch it due to the itch and it becomes worse or have cuts on face. Anyway the eye drops seemed to work maybe u can try.

You might be able to get it over the phone from a vet without having to pay for a visit.
I use neomycin and polymixin b sulfate drops with dexamethasone in an opthalmic solution. The dexamathasone is a steroid and really the key.

You can get neomycin/polymixin (neosporin) over the counter and it is ok to use on a chicken (opthalmic version is scrip from doctor for people). If you can't get hold of the above (about $7) , buy a tube of original neosporin and use that.
