Swollen eye overnight, what to do?
Hi everyone, yesterday morning one of my grey marans had a nasty swollen eye that had literally appeared overnight, there is bulging area in the inner corner of the eye which the others tried to peck. I separated her and am not sure if the original injury was traumatic In nature or due to infection. I tried to bathe the eye last night with a tea bag and saline solution but it still looks the same. She does not sound wheezy and is still bright and eating but must be in some discomfort. I wonder if anyone has any advice - this is not a chicken that will be easy to take to the vet. Although of course I will if needed!
