I’ve had a sick EE. I noticed her swollen eye on 9/7 (pic attached is on 9/7). She had white cloudy discharge from it. No other symptoms other than eye. I’ve separated her from the flock. She’s almost 6 months but not laying yet. I started her terramycin eye ointment twice a day since then. While her eye isn’t getting any worse, I’m not seeing a huge improvement. She’s still eating and drinking. Am I just being impatient? Should I start another treatment?

You probably should try to remove the pus plug from your chicken's eye. This is necessary for proper healing. Have saline solution ready to flush the eye after you complete the procedure. Then continue to treat with the ophthalmic anitbiotic.

There isn’t that type of puss. It’s a white thin discharge, which seems to have lessened since starting treatment. I’ll poke around the area to see anything can be removed. I’ve been flushing it with saline solution before putting in ointment.
