If the eye is initially lost due to injury, then there would likely be some pus, but in general once the eye is healed there shouldn't be any pus. Pus is infection.

For a blind chicken, does the eye sort of just stay closed? I feel like she may have some infection...its slightly swollenIf the eye is initially lost due to injury, then there would likely be some pus, but in general once the eye is healed there shouldn't be any pus. Pus is infection.
I believe its time for an update. I have been cleaning her 1-2 times a day. She is eating and drinking. Good thing she has her right eye! Her left eye is blind now, but no more symptoms of a respiratory issue, which is good. The swelling has gone down as well. I stopped flushing her eye a few days ago. She is doing well, although I dont know how to introduce her back into the flock once she is fully better. She moves and opens the eye every once in a while, although its still mostly closed. I dont want her to be bullied. Her poops are normal.I would say she has infection, especially since your other hen had bubbles for a short period of time.
Flushing and applying the ointment in the eye 2-3 times a day along with an antibiotic would be what I would try.
Unfortunately its really difficult to let her let me open it. The photos arent too good. I didnt want to apply too much pressure...Can you open that eye and get a photo?
I think the eye is lostOk. This is her eye today. Could it just be puss?

It seems to be bruising...pretty odd. There is also a tiny speck of black in the white.
