Swollen Eye

Hi Chickrescue,
Coming in late here.
I had a Polish Bantam hen , my first ever chicken named "Dinner" as she appears in ,my video below.....with what would appear to be the very same problem.They cpoul;da been twins. Dinner had some bubbly eye and sneezing going on before this appeard.

After a couple weeks of watching her act otherwise normal and administering antibiotices....spoiling and good feed.....I took another BYCers advice.Been almost 2 years now but I THINK it was a thread in here by user called speckledhen. She is great.
I followed her advice to the letter and it worked out beautifully.
Search for " eye absess" or eye operation and the like.


I got my act together, swallowed hard and gathered up my tools.compress/sharp scalpal tool/hydrogen peroxide and a towel to wrap my girl in...and lanced this absess, out popped. a gross whitish colored..... curdy medium marble sized hard like a rubber ball perfectly round absess.I kid you not. It rolled across the table when I squeezed it like a pimple head. I cleaned the open wound .....NO blood mind you...not a spot of it....and placed Dinner back with her buddies to eat and romp like normal. Go figure............

I hope your chicken is getting better. My turkeys have had a swollen eye like that for a while now. I think it's microplsma. But the antibiotics have not cured them , just kept them from getting worse. Could you tell me what antibiotic they gave you and the eye medicine? Good luck
