Swollen eyelid, what do I do?

So yesterday I noticed my one hen has a swollen eyelid. She is acting perfectly normal, eating and drinking just fine. The only thing I’ve noticed is that she’s constantly shaking her head.
What do I need to do to make her better
The only other thing she does is shake her head often. She’s not the only one that does that though, so I don’t know if that is another issue I need to be concerned with or if it’s just normal behavior.

It could be a minor eye irritation or the start of a respiratory infection. Start by flushing the eye with saline eye wash. Then use an opthalmic antibiotic ointment in the eye. You can buy terramycin eye ointment at most feed stores.

If she continues to shake her head and also scratch at the eye, then it may be it's developing into a general infection and an oral antibiotic may be required.
