Swollen joint on 3 mo old peachick

It would be helpful to know where the joint is so pics would help us. I had to take a chick to the vet just yesterday because of a similar problem. My chick has a broken thumb.

In case you can't get to a vet or need to wait for an appointment, aspirin is safe for birds. It will bring down his fever and help with pain relief.

You can use children's liquid aspirin, a low dose tablet or 1/4 of a regular adult tablet. Give it a couple of times a day. Make sure it's aspirin, as other human painkillers are not safe for birds.

We use the children's liquid aspirin, 0.10 mL twice a day. We also have meloxicam but the vet told me it will delay the healing.
