Hello,
I woke this morning to find one of my girls limping very bad. I looked closer and her left claw is very swollen, her tail is dipping down and she takes a fewsteps and lays down.

She is my quickest one and I would put her in pain if I try to catch her (she doesn't liked being touched) Do you think it could be a bite of some kind? Could it be broken?

Please help! Any suggestions on treatment to help her swelling go down-until I can take her to thevet Monday? I feel terrible for her- she isn't moving.

Thank you so muchh in advance

can you try and "lead" her to a dog crate to that you can keep an eye on her? and try to minimize any further injury from hopping around in the yard?...

You can try an Epsom salts soak. Add 1 cup Epsom salts to a basin of lukewarm water. Dry her feet gently with a soft towel when done. At this point she may be calm enough (and her feet will be clean) so you can check her foot pads for any debris or scabbing.

Epsom salts contain magnesium, which eases inflammation and reduces pain and sulfates which flush toxins and improve absorption of nutrients.

And make sure she has food and cool water to drink.
