Help!! I lost a chick earlier this week to a severe prolapsed vent issue... Now I have one (almost a week old) that has a swollen vent...
I put some Prep H on it, but the others keep pecking at it. It's a bright white / yellow baby, so anything that's not soft fuzz stands out.

How do I get the excess prep H off? It keeps pecking at the wet ointment on its bottom..
Do I need to isolate it from others?

I don't want to stress it out too much, so how can I help it without increasing swelling or worse have it prolapse?

Hi, I’m new to chickens, so new in fact, that I don’t have any, but I’d absolutely isolate it, for its safety first.
And in case it has something that could spread. Hopefully experienced chicken folk will come along.

I’m sorry you’re having issues with your babies, hopefully experienced chickeners will come along and help. Do your babies have poopie butts? If you do, you have to clean the manually with a warm damp soft cloth.
Sorry if this is obvious to you.

I have her isolated right now, but I'm also worried that being alone will stress her out more! I just want her fixed and with her friends so she's not stressed, I just gotta figure out how to do that quickly!

I've been making sure they don't religiously especially since losing one.. She doesn't have too bad of poopy but, just like where she had pooped and it had slid down so it was like stained not soft fuzz. But when I checked I noticed her vent was swollen and that's where this all started...

Ugh, I’m so sorry, I wish I had answers. Just keep her warm and snuggled and hopefully someone with experience will come by.
Sorry I’m useless. Sorry you’re watching your animal suffer and not able to fix it.
