One of my 3.5 month old chick has a swollen eye while the other side looks fine. The area around her eyes look swollen and her eyeball is watery. There are no bubbles or cloudiness nor any pus. I did not introduce any new members into my flock either as of recently. I did notice the feathers around her eye and neck looks dirty. There are a few stray bees that come to my property time to time and the adult hens do peck the chicks occasionally, so it could be a physical injury perhaps.
I read that a saline solution flush + neosporin should work, how would I go about applying it? Do I drop some saline solution into her eye like eyedrops and then dab her eyelids with neosporin? If these medicines aren't it, what other medicines should I get? I do have some Vetericyn on hand as well if that helps in any way.
